This is intended to be a homage to very many musicians I've loved since I started listening to music. My intention is to tell what I know about them, hoping that those people who like them too, will help me fill numerous gaps, which I may have in their careers and discographies. Sorry, but there are no MP3 audio files here at all, just info (and love for the musicians).

Rudy Van Gelder (engineer)

BRIEF BIOGRAPHY:

Probably the most mythical recording engineer for jazz albums, Rudy Van Gelder was born on November 2nd, 1924 in Jersey City, New Jersey, USA. A jazz passionate fan, he also tried playing trumpet, but he soon moved into sound engineering.

Rudy Van Gelder passed away on August 25th, 2016. He was 91. His name appears in so many albums, probably thousands. Some of them are among the best jazz albums ever made. I just include my page as a tribute to him even if it only contains a few credits (300 albums), and I'll keep on adding more credits whenever I have some more free time.

A huge thank you to Rudy Van Gelder for so many great moments listening to what he achieved.
