My intention is to tell what I know about them, hoping that those people who like them too, will help me fill numerous gaps, which I may have in their careers and discographies. Tommy Whittle (sax)

MINIMAL BIOGRAPHY:

Tommy Whittle was a brilliant jazz sax player. He was born on October 13th, 1926 in Grangemouth, Scotland.

Tommy played in many famous orchestras and big bands, such as Stan Kenton, Jack Parnell, Ted Heath, Johnny Dankworth, Cyril Stapleton, Don Lusher.

Tommy Whittle passed away on October 13th, 2013 here in Spain due to pneumonia, the same day on his 87th birthday. He was married to jazz singer Barbara Jay.
